Darius is an experienced attorney whose practice focuses on post-mortem probate estate administration, trust administration, and all aspects of estate planning. He is licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and South Carolina.
Darius leans on his practice experience to provide proper counsel to his client’s needs. Education and empathy are cornerstones of Darius’ approach in communicating with clients to form stronger relationships and understanding of the subject matter.2
Darius originally pursued a career in law to practice sport and entertainment law, but found his calling in the areas of wills, trusts, and probate. Prior to entering private law practice, Darius served Mecklenburg County as a Deputy Clerk of Court for the Estates Division. In that role, he processed and oversaw the administration of a high volume of estate administration matters and gained an invaluable understanding of the internal workings of the probate court. Through that experience, Darius not only honed his expertise in administering estates but also developed a desire to help members of our community plan ahead to reduce the stress and complexity their families will face when the time comes.
Born and raised on the Carolina coast as a Wilmington native, Darius obtained his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and his Juris Doctor from Charlotte School of Law. Outside of work, Darius enjoys spending his time with his family, fishing, hunting, and cheering the Carolina Panthers, NC State Wolfpack, and Boston Celtics.
